Orders relating to regular route common carriers (RRCC), 1924-1982.

Docket files concerning regular route common carriers (RRCC), formerly known as auto transportation carriers (ATC). The files contain petitions for certificates to operate a motor vehicle transportation line, as well as petitions for changes in fares, schedules, and routes and the corresponding findings of fact, orders, and related documents. The orders cover the passenger as well as the package express business. The original boxes were labelled "bus and truck orders," but the files primarily concern bus companies.

These registers were kept under the RRWC's regulatory responsibilities for stockyard rates (1919-1922; see Laws 1919 c461) and for licensing of livestock buyers (1935-1967; see Laws 1935 c216). In 1967 the RRWC was replaced by the Public Service Department (Laws 1967 c864), and in 1974 the livestock regulatory functions were transferred to the Department of Agriculture (Laws 1974 c347). The 1962-1975 RRWC register book was apparently transferred to and used by these successor agencies. ...
